The Samick SKB 50 is a one-piece recurve horse bow. Constructed from rosewood, walnut, hard maple and fiberglass, the bow is lightweight, aesthetic, durable and draws smoothly. A genuine leather grip and a string are included with the bow. The SKB 50 is ambidextrous and can be used by both left-handed and right-handed archers.

We recommend shooting horse bows with a thumb ring (sold separately).

Not Good

The bow I bought is supposed to be 40#. It says 40# on it. It is not 40#. So, that's wrong. The string is also incredibly thin, so none of my arrows can grip it at all. Overall, very disappointed. DEFINITELY not worth what I paid.

Love this bow

To be fair this is my first horse bow. I've shot a few before. One very cheap one and a custom made one. But for my first bow I really like it. The so called genuine leather wrap is garbage and ripped within the hour. No biggie I replaced the handle wrap as it was something that I was always going to do. The term "genuine leather" is a marketing term and says zero about the quality of the leather.

Good bows

I've purchased a 45 pound and 35 pound bow to practice traditional Korean archery (with a thumb draw). I'm a 6' tall, 180lbs man, it took me a few weeks of shooting to get used to the drawing weight of the 45 pound bow. My thumb definitely took a beating the first few times, but these bows are so much fun to shoot. They make an awesome sound and they look great.

I originally thought the 35 pound would be easier to learn on, but I'm not as consistent on it. I have a lot more fun on the 45.

I'm only giving these bows 4 stars because the leather wrap where the hand holds the bow is already falling apart on both bows. It's not a big deal to me, but eventually I'll have to make a new wrap which is a bit annoying.

Nice cheap bow

I actually grabbed this bow because I wanted to try a different model of horse style bow and in a higher weight than the oak ridges black sada I got last year. I got this bow in a 45# weight. I actually prefer the sada bow for thumb draw. It draws even more smoothly and feels like butter all the way back to the more than 30 inch draw it must be where I anchor my thumb draw. I find I prefer this skb shooting split finger off the left side. It is quite snappy and launches the arrows high compared to my other recurves and longbows I shoot this way. There is a bit of finger pinch at full draw shooting this way- I guess due to the short length of this bow. I am also giving it a bit of a hit on ratings as the string it came with was useless with a super thin serving that didn’t fit my knocks. Disappointing when you first unbox it and string it up and expect to start shooting right away. I replaced it with another string of the same length from another shop, minor inconvenience. It’s a good bow, certainly can’t go wrong with price. But if you were going to have one horse bow- go with the black sada over this.

A perfect horsebow - no complaints.

I purchased this bow for teaching horse bow style to my archery students, but I am loving the flawless design and smooth shooting of this bow. It is a joy to shoot. I have nothing to complain about. It is a perfectly designed horse bow and I cannot find anything wrong with it.

Special orders receive top priority and are given prompt attention. While larger items like bows may not always be readily available, many special order items are consistently kept in stock. The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.

Certain bows, such as custom target bows and high-quality traditional recurve bows, are exclusively made to order directly from the manufacturer.

In some instances, left-handed products like premium target equipment may experience unforeseen delays due to batch production by the manufacturer.

We strive to meet the deadlines mentioned above and make every effort to do so. However, there may be circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from meeting those deadlines. If such a situation arises, we will make every effort to rectify the issue. Special orders can be canceled or exchanged and are eligible for a refund after 8 weeks.

The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.

Certain bows, such as compound bows, olympic recurve risers and limbs as well as traditional recurve bows, are exclusively made to order directly from the manufacturer if "special order" is indicated. They cannot be cancelled or refunded if special ordering.

We strive to meet the deadlines mentioned above and make every effort to do so. Due to extreme lack of availability and stock within the Archery industry, lead times are only estimates.

Cancelling special order items depends on the product type. For those that can be cancelled, the following fee's may apply.

  • A 5 percent restocking fee will be charged if the order has been fulfilled.
  • A 2.5 percent admin fee will apply to backorders cancelled within 8 weeks.

Some products such as custom made, made-to-order or special order bows cannot be cancelled. Many of these items are brought in from overseas or made specially by the manufacturer upon an order being placed.
