Whether you shoot recurve, compound, or barebow, the Mantis X8 intelligent shooting analysis system can take your training to the next level.

At its core, the X8 is a precision IMU (accelerometer + gyroscope + magnetometer) that analyzes movement patterns. The X8 analyzes thousands of data points per second, providing real-time feedback on your shooting performance to the smartphone/tablet app (available on Google Play and Apple App Store).

Through analyzing movement patterns, including micro movements that the eye cannot see, the X8 system evaluates performance and consistency, identifies areas of improvement, and tracks progress over time. Each shot generates a detailed analysis, and the user is able to compare phases of each shot to others. The X8 is a definitive game changer for high performance competitive archers, and allows them to have a more comprehensive understanding of their shooting.

things you cannot see revealed

I have this sensor for about a month and it has provided me real and valuable information related especially to my glitch which I have actively reduced. As a mostly self coached archer and equipment nerd the feedback is still a bit cryptic but a great guide to solutions. I have found the shape of my R core grip is in fact one reason for falling scores and a bit of putty and a lot of you tube videos got the shape back on track. It has helped with getting the balance of my stabilizers right or at least a lot better. I do wish there was a simple vibration trace which I think could be very helpfull with getting brace height optimised IE finding that sweet spot where the bow is it quietest but it definitely reveals problems that occur right at release. All that said you still need to be self aware or be guided by someone who can interpret the resulting data. I find it valuable aid to confirm a few changes I have made and in the case of my grip, improve the shape that works for my hand.

Pretty good practice tool

This plus a tripod for your camera to film your form will give you a lot of great info on any extra movements during your shot process. Comes with a better mounting rail than the old single **** one to make it easier to mount to your sight bracket (unfortunately they only included a single ****). App is a bit buggy though when inputting your bow's data. Seems to change a bunch of fields overwriting the stuff I had entered. I took a star off for the software as well as the unit is made of plastic. I would've preferred the rail and sensor be made of aluminum as I have no idea how well the plastic will hold up over time with the high vibration of bows. If the picatinny mount on the unit somehow fails, I don't really have a lot of confidence that this unit would survive a fall off the bow

Great Training Tool

This is a really good training tool to map out your shot process. It is very sensitive and measures things like shot cycle timing and cant, etc.

Mort than Satisfied

Mantis X8 Archery provides a pretty darn good picture of your shot and process. The graphics and charts are helpful. I have recommended Mantis to others and bought a second unit for my son! I wish they had a few more tutorials for a more clear understanding of all the analysis features!!
